And one cop seems to be patrolling Navy Yard on a Segway.” Katharine Zaleski from NowThis News said, “Will NRA say more people needed guns at the Navy Yard to deter shooter?”

Also from the Post, Mark Berman was live blogging the whole fiasco.

The Navy themselves announced the Active Shooter at Washington Navy Yard on their website. Mark W. Smith from USA Today announced, “The Navy will update this link as they release more information.”

If you’d like to see a photo from the scene, Tim Hogan uploaded the following with the caption: “Our staff is safe.”
