Bill de Blasio becomes NYC's democratic mayoral candidate

Over in New York, we hear that Thompson will Concede to de Blasio in Mayoral Primary from Michael Barbaro at the New York Times. Michael Paulson there wrote, “Withdrawal of @BillThompsonNYC makes @deBlasioNYC undisputed Democratic nominee in #nyc2013.” Lionel from WPIX New York added, “At long last our national nightmare is over. Or something.”

Greg Smith also covered the concede for the Daily News: Bill Thompson to concede to Bill de Blasio in New York City Democratic primary. Dave Weigel with Slate said, “Thompson will concede the #NYCmayor primary to De Blasio, after coming up short in crucial Waukesha County.” Sally Kohn from Fox News tweeted: “Congratulations to Bill de Blasio, a great leader & voice for equality who will become next mayor of NYC.” Aaron Blake at the Washington Post added, “Wow.”
