The AP names two film writers
Jake Coyle has been named film writer at The Associated Press, where he has already been an entertainment writer. Coyle tweeted, "Thank you all for the kind congratulations! I look forward to many more hidden, embarrassed cries during rom coms, dog movies." TheWrap.com's Josh Dickey responded to the news, "Big congrats to @jake_coyle, who's been an integral part of the AP's film report for many years, actually."
Jessica Herndon was also named a film writer with the AP. Herndon had been a writer and reporter at People, and she has also written for TIME, LA Weekly and Flaunt. AP's Ryan Pearson tweeted, "Meant to say earlier, congratulations @SomeKind and welcome to @APEntertainment team!" Meanwhile, Gerrick Kennedy of the LA Times reacted, "Secrets out! Congrats to my love @SomeKind for heading to the @ap as a film writer!!!!!!" On the move from San Francisco to LA, Herndon tweeted, "Home sweet home!!! RP (& AP) bound. Thanks sfgate for the nod!"
