Around the world on Twitter and Facebook
This morning it was unveiled that the Twitter feed that’s captured all of our attentions this past year was actually a person all along. And a New Yorker writer at that. Read about it with Horse_ebooks and Pronunciation Book Revealed from Susan Orlean. Alex Hern at the Guardian tweeted: “@adventuresofrob HORSE EBOOKS IS HUMAN.” Freelancer Arikia Millikan wrote, “Can't believe I'm missing this!!! @Horse_ebooks don't leave us without your glorious internettings!” Fellow freelancer Joanna Scutts added, “Though hats off to the artists. Well played.”
Just in time, there’s talk today that China will lift its ban on Facebook - but only within Shanghai free-trade zone, which is great so everyone there can enjoy the magic selfies which fill the internet. Case in point: this Twitpic that came with the caption, “Two Bills, one selfie. Already having fun at #CGI2013,” and is completely adorable.
Chris Ciaccia at The Street has the exclusive on Twitter Picking NYSE for their $1.5B IPO. Zach Seward at Quartz wrote, “Initial rumors about Twitter's IPO price were in the range of $26 to $28 a share. This report bumps it to $28 to $30.” Peter Kafka from AllThingsD added, “Twitter listing on NYSE is interesting. Fact that float will be so low just as important.”
