Memphis radio journo heads for Fox News in NYC

Sep 24, 2013

FOX News Radio Network has tapped Tonya Powers as their newest national correspondent. Most recently Powers served as both news director and an anchor at WREC-AM in Memphis, Tenn. "Congrats to @TonyaJPowers on her big move to Fox News Radio in New York... where real radio news still lives!!!" tweeted Cameron Harper of ABC24/CW30 Memphis. KEX Portland talk show host Michael Castner also responded to the news, "CONGRATS my friend! well deserved!" As she landed in NYC, Powers tweeted this picture, adding, "Well, Elvis, I don't think we're in Memphis anymore."

Doesn't look like it. Good luck in the Big Apple, Tonya!
