Veteran LAT reporter joins NBC

Andrew Blankstein has joined NBC News after 23 years as a staff writer for The Los Angeles Times. Now a West Coast investigations reporter with NBC, Blankstein is charged with covering courts, homeland security, anti-terrorism, and law enforcement throughout the region. LA TimesWilliam Nottingham noted, "LAT takes a hit; NBC News scoops up a hustling crime reporter & investigator--Good luck @anblanx." Also at the LAT, Kate Linthicum echoed his sentiments, tweeting, "Saying goodbye w heavy hearts to ace cops reporter @anblanx, who is leaving us." Meanwhile, at his new gig, Blankstein shared this twitpic, captioning, "Day 1, Act 2." We're certain it will be just as impressive as Act 1.
