AJC pilfers two from Star Tribune

Rose French is also bidding farewell to the Star Tribune for a gig as education reporter with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Or as AJC's Jennifer Brett called it, "Huge news!" French has been with the Minnesotan publication as a religion reporter since September 2010, but will be saying goodbye to the #godbeat for now--which has Chicago Tribune religion reporter Manya Brachear "[t]otally bummed."
Keeping it all in the family, French's husband Brad Schrade will also depart the Star Tribune to join French at AJC this October. Unlike his wife, Schrade will stay on the same beat as an investigative reporter, a role he held at the Star Trib since 2010 as well. AJC's Charles Gay tweeted, "Thrilled to announce @bradschrade, 2013 Pulitzer winner, & his talented wife @STactsoffaith, are joining @ajc reporting staff!"  Kristin M. Hall with the Associated Press also couldn't be happier: "Great pickup by AJC. Glad to have them back in the South!"
