No more dating NSA analysts

In other disturbing news, investigations editor Kevin Poulsen at The Wired brings us an alarming anthology called “12 True Tales of NSA Cyber Stalking.” Detailed therein are a dozen incidents in which NSA analysts abused their access to spy on everyone from significant others to strangers they’d met only once. As Poulsen himself shared, “One NSA analyst was recreationally surveilling women for 5 years, until a girlfriend realized he was wiretapping her.” This misconduct sounds like the realization of our worst speculations. Word of caution to anyone in the dating market: considering ruling out employees of the NSA. Of course, that would require discovering where they worked ...
