Twitpics of Kerry keep us amused

Leave it up to Buzzfeed to get journalists buzzing: "This REUTERS photo of Kerry and Putin talking in Bali is amazing," Andrew Kaczynski summarily announced, his words accompanied by this twitpic. "Not to mention bizarre," added Mitchell Landsberg at the LA Times.

The photo depicts the US Secretary of State and the Russian president shaking hands at the APEC summit, all while sporting traditional Balinese shirts that defy accurate description--so you'll have to look for yourself. "Summit fashion, Bali edition," was NY TimesRandal Archibold's take on it.

"Was there a dress code?!" puzzled Tonya Alanez with the South Florida Sun Sentinel, but no one had that answer.

"No wonder Obama cancelled," came the reaction from Scott Bixby at Bloomberg Businessweek and Bloomberg News.

Finally, Kaczynski divulged an inspired idea: "We should make Boehner, Reid, and Obama wear these shirts next time they meet."

TIME magazine also shared a picture of just Kerry alone"You'd think John Kerry would've learned by now to stop wearing silly outfits," bemoaned Foreign Policy's Noah Shachtman. "So far: nope."

Our favorite response by far, however, was this from Yahoo NewsChris Moody: "RELEASE THE MEMES."
