RIP Stanley Kauffmann

A sad day for the cinephiles out there, and the TNR family.” Colleague Chloe Schama said, “Tribute to Stanley Kauffman coming, but here's the sad announcement of his passing.” Freelancer John McQuaid said, “RIP Stanley Kauffmann, 97, who only recently retired as @tnr's film critic.” Andrew Beaujon from Poynter Online pointed out, “Among other things, he discovered Walker Percy's 'The Moviegoer.’” Thomas Stackpole at Mother Jones added, “Stanley Kauffmann, who was @tnr's film critic for five decades, died this morning. End of an era.”
