Two media desk hires at Capital NY

Two more hires at Capital New York: Johana Bhuiyan and Nicole Levy join as media reporters. Bhuiyan was most recently an editorial assistant at World Policy Journal while Levy joins from Newsday where she was a reporting intern at the business desk.

"Many more announcements to come, but psyched to have the talented @JMBooyah and @AubernaLevy joining our media desk @capitalnewyork," tweeted Tom McGeveran, Capital NY's co-editor and co-founder.

"Last day @WorldPolicy. Had a great, great experience here. But I'm so ready for the next chapter in my journalism career," Bhuiyan tweeted, later referencing World Policy managing editor Yaffa Fredrick, "Sad to leave @yaffanyc though."

"SUCH a talent...a privilege to have had you @WorldPolicy Journal!!" editor-in-chief David A. Andelman tweeted her.

Levy had only one beef about her new position: "I want my job title to be "office ninja;" it appears that Cheezburger has more going for it than just LOL cats," she tweeted.
