Obama's not purple anymore

Oct 14, 2013

There’s one more story from the Boston Globe making the rounds today, and it doesn’t include anyone’s feet in the air - The purple nation President Obama once envisioned has grown into hues of deeper red and blue. Matt Viser there, who wrote the story but isn’t a Muck Rack member (hint hint) tweeted: “Obama didn't meet one on one with Boehner until 2.5 yrs into his presidency. He's met privately with McConnell twice.” Fran Berkman from Mashable said, “How Obama never mastered the politics of golf, beer and poker.” Damien Cave at the New York Times wrote, “After promising to close the partisan divide, Obama's Washington more divided than ever.”
