NYT fashion reporter to InStyle

Oct 16, 2013

Fashion reporter Eric Wilson has bid adieu to The New York Times for a new position as InStyle Magazine's first-ever fashion news director. Renowned and respected for his high-fashion news coverage and analysis, Wilson is charged with creating a new "voice" for the magazine, doing everything from writing to editing to generating multimedia content.

"The cat's out of the handbag. I'm super excited to be moving to @InStyle! Thanks for all the Twitter love!" Wilson tweeted.

After examining New York Magazine's article on his move, he also seemed to approve of their coverage: "I like that picture!" Check it out for yourself; it is a good one.

Meanwhile, Wall Street Journal's fashion features director Elisa Lipsky-Karasz tweeted him, "Congrats @EricWilsonNYT --but you've always been InStyle!"

Truer words never spoken.
