Today's politicos and the internet

Oct 17, 2013

Today, you can congratulate Cory Booker for winning the Senate seat in New Jersey. Cory himself tweeted: “Thank you so much, New Jersey. I'm proud to be your senator-elect,” along with this link. David Teicher from Advertising Age said, “Top story: Join our team.” Lori Spechler from CNBC called it, “Newsy.” Steve Kandell at BuzzFeed wasn’t shy to say he thinks this was a “[scheduled tweet].”

And just for one bit of completely ridiculous news today, the New York Post has Anthony Weiner saying: “I’d be mayor (if not for the Web).” Patrick LaForge at the New York Times tweeted a quote: “I’m just an empty, soulless vessel, so it doesn’t hurt me as much.” Perry Chiaramonte at Fox News called this mess: “The year of living Carlos Dangerously.” Matt Silverman from Mashable wrote, “Damn kids!” And Joel Pavelski at the New York Post literally had us in tears with this one: “& if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.”
