GQ editor Mark Lotto joins Medium

Oct 18, 2013

GQ senior editor Mark Lotto has left his home of two years for the same role at Medium, the online publishing brainchild of Twitter co-founder Evan Williams. Lotto is a veteran journalist, who joined GQ in 2011 after having served as op-ed page staff editor with The New York Times.

"I'm really, really happy to be joining @katelaurielee, @ev, and the whole awesome crew at @Medium," Lotto said of the move on Twitter.

"Congrats @marklotto. A+ choice, @Medium," replied Gillian Reagan at Capital New York.

"I'm thrilled to welcome @marklotto to @medium as a Senior Editor," Medium director of content Kate Lee announced.

"Impressive that @medium and @katelaurielee scored @marklotto -- a man who, by all accounts, is a great editor," observed Kurt Soller at New York Magazine

Impressive, indeed--and we look forward to what this hiring will bring to Medium's fledgling future.
