Senior Managing Editor at the Minneapolis Star Tribune

Senior Managing Editor at the Minneapolis Star Tribune - We recently reported that Rene Sanchez has been named the Star Tribune's new top editor, so it should come as no surprised that the publication's recently vacated position of managing editor is now up for grabs! If you're up to the task, as managing editor you would be expected to guide the daily operation of the Star Tribune newsroom, working closely with the editor as well the assistant managing editors for Business, Features, Metro and Sports to set a high bar for the work that the Tribune does in print and on its digital platforms. You should have a long track record as a smart and thoughtful journalist, able to conceive of and deliver both short-form and long-form journalism and to drive relentlessly on the news as well as the quality of the journalism. You must have the people skills to coach the best out of the journalists engaged in telling the stories of the Minneapolis community.
