WSJ taps investigative sports journo

Oct 24, 2013

The Wall Street Journal's Sharon Terlep has just joined the Journal's global sports desk as an investigative and enterprise reporter. Most recently she was a mergers and acquisitions reporter at the publication.

"New inning begins," she quipped on Twitter. "[T]hrilled to join @WSJSports as investigative/enterprise reporter. Best wishes to M&A whizzes @DanaMattioli @danacimilluca!"

The sports analogies didn't end there, though. "WSJ Sports department lands a home-run hitter. Welcome @sharonterlep!" deputy managing editor Mike Miller greeted her.

"Congrats, Sharon," tweeted MLB reporter Brian Costa, now also Terlep's colleague at the WSJ.

"Thank you Brian! Very pumped about the new gig. Send ideas my way!" she entreated him in reply.
