More big staff changes at TIME

Just when you thought things at TIME Magazine had settled down, they make waves with more promotions and additions.

First, the promotion: social media editor Kelly Conniff was just bumped up to special projects editor, meaning she is now charged with overseeing long-term packages and lists.

"Big congrats to @kellyconniff on her promotion to special projects editor @TIME!!" tweeted colleague and news editor Dan Hirschhorn.

Now, the additions: Michael Lester joins the publication as associate video producer. Most recently, he served as video editor for Talking Points Memo.

"This is my last week at @TPM before I start as an Associate Producer at @TIME," Lester tweeted last week. "In other news, be my replacement!"

"Nobody can replace you," Matthew Wozniak at TPM teasingly reassured him. "[T]hey could only ever do the exact same job as you for a comparable salary."

Finally, Sarah Begley of The Daily Beast joins TIME as digital operations editor.

"Kiiiiind of excited to make it into my first staffing announcement," Begley tweeted. "Yay Internet." Word. Congratulations to all three!
