The New York Times has coaxed Matt Goldstein away from Reuters to join its BizDay desk. Previously the Wall Street investigations editor at Reuters, with the Times he will serve as a DealBook and finance reporter.

"Just want to big a big shout out to all the great journos at @reuters @ReutersBiz before i join @nytimesbusiness @dealbook, thank you all," Goldstein tweeted.

"Amazing hire of @MattGoldstein26 by @DealBook. A really big loss for Reuters," noted colleague and Reuters deputy editor Ryan McCarthy.

"Can't wait for my old colleague @MattGoldstein26 to join @dealbook! bringing the old bizweek band back together," DealBook news editor Adrienne Carter tweeted enthusiastically.

"Congrats to @MattGoldstein26 on the new gig at NYT's @dealbook and reuniting with @adriennecarter," tweeted Yahoo! Finance tech reporter Aaron Pressman, concluding "Nice."

Happy reunions, and congratulations, Matt.
