The Wall Street Journal has announced Kate Linebaugh is now taking the reins as deputy chief of its Corporate Bureau. Previously Linebaugh was based in the Detroit bureau, but in her new role, Linebaugh will oversee reporters' coverage of consumer products, retail, telecom, industrials and corporate governance.

"Congrats @kate_linebaugh on the new @WSJ gig!" tweeted Ernest Scheyder with Reuters.

"Three cheers!" WSJ career editor Nikki Waller added.
