A very popular New York Times article by Abby Goodnough titled "For Uninsured, Clearing a Way to Enrollment" is trending hard on MuckRack right now. Political blogger Greg Sargent shared this powerful passage from the piece: "The woman began to weep with relief. Without insurance, she said, `it's cheaper to die.'" "A reminder that Obamacare is about so much more than politics," added Huffington Post's Emily Peck.
Also at the NYT, Sheryl Gay Stolberg called the article a "[m]ust read by @abbygoodnough. Clear, in-depth reporting on #Obamacare in a state that did it right." Health and medical editor Richard Besser at ABC News illuminated that further: "Enrollment working in KY. Too bad more states didn't set up exchanges."
But lest we get too choked up, here's a statement from New York Magazine that Barack Obama is a terrible blogger. Morgan Little at the LA Times quotes from the article, "He resents bloggers because he is a failed blogger himself. Obama should not quit his day job. Whatever that is." Business Insider's Joe Weisenthal called the takedown "Not as frivolous as one might surmise." Washington Post's Mark Berman then asks, "does he even code tho?"
