Wisconsin journal adds reporter
The Wisconsin State Journal has anointed Molly Beck as education reporter, and it looks like a great move for the publication. In her journalistic career thus far, Beck has worn many hats: first as a features editor and reporter and then as news editor with the Owatonna People's Press in Minnesota, and later as education reporter and voice editor with The State Journal-Register in Springfield, Illinois.
"Congrats on the new gig. Best of luck to you!" tweeted Matt Buedel at the Peoria Journal Star.
Also noteworthy is Beck's 2007 first "best local news" award from the Minnesota Newspaper Association.
Now, however, she faces some new challenges.
"I'm from Illinois and live in Wisconsin," she tweeted upon arrival. "Is there some sort of sporting event on that I should care about?"
... Feel free to tweet her "welcome" and help her out with that, Wisconsites!
