"State of Nevada" Host/Producer at KNPR - KNPR is looking for a combination host/producer who is also a relentless listener's advocate--applying intelligence, curiosity, empathy, creativity and a sense of humor to interviews on a wide range of topics and areas of interest. If you want this job, you should be ready to bring a journalist's mind and a compelling voice to KNPR’s State of Nevada, Nevada Public Radio’s flagship news and public affairs program which reaches half of KNPR’s entire weekly audience.
The Host/Producer also has strong broadcaster’s instincts, deep journalism experience, and is a catalyst for the collective work of the program’s production team! The ideal candidate writes and edits interview scripts and program continuity; conducts research and books guests; hosts insightful, incisive interviews; and ensures that the program has depth, relevance, urgency and coherence.
