WSJ names new social media editor

The Wall Street Journal has just named Sarah Marshall social media editor for the regions of Europe, Middle East and Africa. Currently the technology editor for Journalism.co.uk, Marshall will assume her new role in January and will be based in London.

"I've got a new job!" she posted to Facebook. "From 9 Dec I'll be social media editor of the Wall Street Journal for Europe, Middle East and Africa (small area, I know)."

"Super excited that I get to work with @SarahMarshall3, @WSJ's new London-based social media editor!" tweeted Elana Zak, the Journal's New York-based social media producer.

Marshall also shared this fact: "Based in London but sounds like I will be in New York for some of January. Whoop!" So be advised, New York colleagues.
