NH Register adds poverty reporter

Connecticut's The New Haven Register has tapped J. Brian Charles as poverty reporter, charged with the weighty responsibility of covering poverty, welfare and social services. Previously a local news reporter for the Pasadena Star-News, Charles most recently reported for the Daily Breeze in Torrance, Calif.

On that note, he tweeted, "My last piece before leaving California. We need to do something about homelessness & definitely homeless veterans."

"Nice read, Brian," deputy city editor Benjamin Demers replied to the post. "Good way to go out ..." We agree. Best of luck at the new job, Brian!
