KPCC journo to DFM Thunderdome

KPCC associate editor Kim Bui is leaving public radio to join the breaking news team at Digital First Media’s Thunderdome.

Bui confirmed the news earlier on her Tumblr as well as her Twitter account, where a lot of the magic has happened in her career thus far; Bui is a co-founder of #wjchat, after all.

"The awesome part is I get to work with @JulieWestfall again," Bui tweeted, adding, "The bad part is leaving my colleagues @KPCC, who have been family for 3 years."

"[T]his is too sad," KPCC business reporter Ben Bergman tweeted. "You’re one of the people who helped get me into KPCC so I will always be grateful!"

"It all started with Twitter!" Bui responded. "And there it shall continue. Anyway, I'm glad to have worked with you. You're the bee's knees."
