Featured journalist: Zack Seward
Before we kick off the weekend, we thought we'd end on a great note by featuring Zack Seward, the innovations reporter with WHYY (an awesome job title, by the way)! Seward has been on the buzzword beat "for a minute now," he writes. Before joining WHYY in 2012, he worked at WXXI where he served as a reporter for the Innovation Trail, a statewide public media reporting project. There's that word, again!
With WHYY and at NewsWorks.org, Seward covers the latest in technology, entrepreneurship, the economy, life sciences and the nonprofit sector. "In a nutshell, it's cool ideas that are (or aren't) moving the Philadelphia region toward Bigger and Better," he writes. For his efforts, Seward received the "Excellence in Broadcasting" award from the New York State Broadcasters Association.
He began his career in journalism for "the pursuit of knowledge." As for his favorite fictional journalist, he had an innovative answer to that, too: Macaulay Connor from The Philadelphia Story. For more from this innovations reporter, be sure to check out his portfolio.
