NBC News nabs CBS producer

Dec 09, 2013

NBC News has found a new senior producer in Ben Plesser, whom they've just poached from CBS News. In his previous CBS role, he served as a producer for foreign correspondent Clarissa Ward, with whom he recently traveled to Aleppo, Syria to report on upheavals there. Now with NBC, he is assigned to work with chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel.

"Award-winning longtime CBS News producer @BenPlesser has joined @NBCNews as senior producer working w @RichardEngel," tweeted Erika Masonhall with NBC.

Plesser and Ward both received accolades for their coverage of the Syrian crisis, and we can't wait to see what laurels he'll bring in for NBC, too.
