Politico appoints deputy politics editor

Dec 09, 2013

Politico has named Nahal Toosi its new deputy politics editor. Most recently on the coveted Europe Desk in London with the Associated Press, Toosi also served the AP as a correspondent in Islamabad, Pakistan, which is no small matter, either.

"It's been fun, London. Cheers. Now on to Washington!" she tweeted before her flight.

"Don't go!" pleaded AP correspondent Cassandra Vinograd. "Sad to see @nahaltoosi leave. Big loss for @AP, big gain for @Politico - ya'll are lucky to have her!"

"First day on the job at @POLITICO, and I'm already sitting steps away from Ann Romney, who's visiting the newsroom for an interview," Toosi recently shared.

You're surely not in Islamabad any more, Nahal. Good luck to you!
