NYT poaches Stewart from WaPo

In that endless revolving door of poaches, the New York Times has plucked up another Washington Post journalist: Nikita Stewart, who first joined the Post nearly 10 years ago. Stewart will soon join the ranks of the Times as an investigative reporter covering City Hall and local government, but for now she remains The Post's District Council staff writer and a blogger for its D.C. Wire.

"Big loss for WaPo, big uh-oh for any officials up to no good in NYC: @kitastew is joining @nytimes as an investigative City Hall reporter," tweeted colleague J duLac at the Post.

"Congrats @kitastew! So excited and proud of you! Watch out New York!" tweeted Marissa Evans at Kaiser Health News.

"Very sad to see @kitastew leave, but @nytimes couldn't have hired a more dogged digger or talented beat reporter. DeBlasio, watch out," warned White House correspondent Philip Rucker.
