FiveThirtyEight continues expansion

With 2014 just within sight, FiveThirtyEight has announced three more additions: Mona ChalabiNeil Paine and Benjamin Morris.

First up, Chalabi joins as lead writer of "EveryData," a news feature section within FiveThirtyEight that will be published daily. Chalabi comes to FiveThirtyEight from The Guardian, where she is currently serving as a data journalist.

"You should check out @MonaChalabi's terrific work at The Guardian ... She's a perfect fit for us," editor-in-chief Nate Silver shared on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Paine joins as a senior writer covering sports. He most recently blogged for

"Neil (@Neil_Paine) combines outstanding writing, statistical, and technical skills--and crosses over many sports," Silver elaborated. "An A+ candidate for us."

And finally, Morris will join the outlet as a senior writer and analyst covering sports.

"Ben (@skepticalsports) is an amazing thinker and writer who understads both the power and the limitations of sports analytics," Silver tweeted.
