Bloomberg News must bid adieu to executive editor Susan Goldberg, who is leaving the publication for the same role -- but with National Geographic. Goldberg has held the position since 2010, prior to which serving as deputy managing editor for USA Today, editor for the Cleveland Plain Dealer, and executive editor for The San Jose Mercury News.
"Congrats to @susanbgoldberg for new gig as @NatGeo executive editor," tweeted Dan Gilgoff, director of digital news. "Excited to work with and learn from her."
"Great news for NG!" tweeted Mollie Bloudoff-Indelicato at Everyday Health.
This of course means there are some shoes to fill at Bloomberg -- and that honor goes to Cesca Antonelli, who succeeds Goldberg as executive editor for Washington, state and local teams. Antonelli has served most recently as Washington bureau chief and managing editor.
Congratulations to both!
