New EIC for AOL Autos

AOL Autos has named Sharon Carty as editor in chief of the car-focused publication as well as its sister outlet Autoblog. Currently a senior editor there, Carty takes the reins in the footsteps of previous EIC David Kiley's departure. AOL Autos publishes news and listings on cars, while Autoblog covers the automotive industry.

"Congrats to @SharonCarty, the new editor-in-chief of AOL Autos and Autoblog," tweeted Chris Woodyard with USA Today. "She takes over from the superb @DavidKiley. Both ex-USA."

"Thanks, Chris! And congrats to you in your new role," Carty tweeted to Woodyard, the editor of the blog Drive On. "Will you be at the Detroit auto show?"
