NY Law Journal names new ME

The New York Law Journal has started 2014 off with a new managing editor: Rebecca Baker. It's a noteworthy move for Baker, who previously served as a staff writer covering politics, crime, education and business for The Bergen Record in New Jersey.

"Thrilled to be starting Day 1 @NYLawJournal with @krisfischer and the rest of the talented staff @ALM!" Baker tweeted yesterday.

Her new family at NYLJ seem to have equally anticipated her first day:

"Team @NYLawJournal is happy to have @RBakerNY officially on board today as our new Managing Editor," tweeted associate publisher Farrell McManus, adding the hashtag #ExcitingTimes.

"Glad to welcome NYLJ's new managing editor, Rebecca Baker!" editor-in-chief Kris Fischer harmonized.
