Yahoo adds two more

Jan 08, 2014

Yahoo News just grew by another two, adding Daniel Klaidman and Garance Franke-Ruta. Klaidman will take on the role of deputy editor, while Franke-Ruta's position is as yet unknown.

Klaidman joins Yahoo from The Daily Beast, where he was the national political correspondent. In his new role, Klaidman is charged with overseeing editorial operations, working with reporters to develop original content, and guiding long-term strategy.

"Thanks to all," he tweeted. "Excited to join the talented @YahooNews team, including @meganliberman, @MattBai, @thegarance, @katiecouric, @Pogue ..."

Meanwhile, Franke-Ruta joins from The Atlantic, where she most recently served as senior editor. She also brings her experiences from working at The Washington Post and The American Prospect, as well.

"Congrats to @thegarance and @dklaidman on the moves to @YahooNews-- fabulous hires!" concluded Nancy Cook at The National Journal.
