California politics (this is getting specific)

From the LA Times, Michael Finnegan writes that Times security camera shows Garcetti's car moments after accident. Laura J. Nelson there pointed, “Of all the places to hit a pedestrian…” Michael Linder tweeted, “@latimes vid doesn't show woman being struck by @ericgarcetti's SUV, but suggests she crossed against light.” @LAcrimes added, “Mayor car hits ped in front of Times security camera shows Garcetti's car moments after accident.”

Also in the LA Times, Seema Mehta tells us that Brown rules out a presidential bid. Maeve Reston there tweeted: “.@LATSeema pins down California's @JerryBrownGov on his political ambitions. A presidential run is not in the cards.” Colleague David Zahniser added, “Gov. Jerry Brown not running for president: ‘California is a lot more governable.’” Seems like a fair assessment on his part, really.
