Senior Editor at Committee to Protect Journalists - The Committee to Protect Journalists seeks an experienced news editor to fill the role of senior editor in its small team responsible for the organization’s editorial content.
CPJ promotes press freedom worldwide and defends the right of journalists to report the news without fear of reprisal. CPJ ensures the free flow of news and commentary by taking action wherever journalists are attacked, imprisoned, killed, kidnapped, threatened, censored, or harassed.
The senior editor will work full-time from CPJ’s Manhattan office editing and managing the flow of news content, particularly blog posts and special reports but also news alerts, letters of protest, and other pieces. He or she will assist the editorial director in coordinating with the communications and advocacy team and other CPJ programs to advance the organization’s mission.
