WSJ reporter still missing in NJ

Jan 16, 2014

Late yesterday we learned Wall Street Journal reporter David Bird (at left) went missing over the weekend, and the search continues -- which is why we must make it our top story today. He was last seen wearing a red rain jacket as hel left his home in the Millington section of Long Hill Township. "David Bird still missing. Please spread the word," pleaded colleague Adam Najberg. "Hundreds of people search for missing Wall Street Journal reporter in New Jersey," Robert Lopez shared at The LA Times. "A Wall Street Journal reporter stepped out for a short walk on Saturday and hasn't been seen or heard from since," LAT's Laura J. Nelson also added more information. "If anyone sees David Bird, please contact Long Hill NJ police," entreated Debbie Carlson with Kitco News, before adding, "He's a good guy."

An energy reporter who previously worked for the AP, Bird is also an active hiker and camper, and authorities say they've uncovered no evidence thus far that he "hurt himself, fell ill, or was hurt by anyone else," or that he was planning a trip. Please help these efforts by sharing the story on your own timeline along with his picture.
