Manjoo jumps ship to NYT

Only four months after joining the Wall Street Journal as a tech columnist, Farhad Manjoo is packing up again to head to the New York Times. In Manjoo's case, he'll fill the tech position left behind by David Pogue, another journalist who departed for Yahoo recently.

"Big Red Welcome @fmanjoo to the NYTimes. Tell me how that infrared soap dish works!" entreated metro reporter Liz Robbins.

"Congratulations to @fmanjoo. So much for the NYT 'brain drain,'" PandoDaily's Paul Carr concluded.

And for those nonplussed by his departure from WSJ, Manjoo's got you covered. Per his tweets: "I got a new job: an explanation."

Don’t forget - if you change your job in journalism or move to a different news organization, be sure to email Kirsten (kirsten [at] sawhorsemedia [dot] com) so we can reflect your new title. News job changes only, please! Thanks!
