Featured journalist: Humeyra Pamuk

For Thursday's featured journalist, we're happy to nominate Humeyra Pamuk, energy correspondent with Reuters. Currently based in Turkey, she's a self-described "Istanbulite by birth, Londoner by heart." With the words "Travel, travel, travel" as her guide, Pamuk has been a Reuters correspondent for over a decade. Her bio boasts postings in Istanbul, London, Dubai and Cairo, with a special focus on commodities and energy. Now in Ankara, she's covering everything Turkish, from politics to energy.

As a bit of side-note trivia, she prefers winter over summer, and cats over dogs.

Don't miss Pamuk's portfolio for her most recent Turkey coverage: "Turkey's Kemalists see secularist legacy under threat" and "Turkey lifts generations-old ban on Islamic head scarf" are good places to start.

Remember: If you also want to be featured here, you should 1) set up your own journalist portfolio 2) get verified and 3) let us know by emailing Kirsten.
