Marketplace poaches Margarita Noriega

Jan 29, 2014

American Public Media's Marketplace has snared beloved social media goddess Margarita Noriega, stealing her away from Reuters where she was most recently Editor-in-Charge, Live News. Noriega joins as the new editor/blogger on the team with the goal of boosting social media and audience engagement.

"I can't tell you how thrilled I am to announce that @margafret is coming to work for @MarketplaceAPM. Welcome, Margarita!" tweeted senior digital officer Ethan Lindsey.

"Thank you @Ethan_Lindsey for the warm welcome to @MarketplaceAPM," Noriega tweeted, before adding a few more shout-outs: "and thank you for bringing me to NY in the first place @AntDeRosa @kenli729."

"I always said that @margafret had a name for Public Radio," pointed out Jacob Harris at the New York Times.

We have to agree with that astute assessment.
