Greenwald group adds three

Glenn Greenwald's First Look Media welcomes three new journalists into the fold: Peter Maass joins as senior staff writer, Ryan Gallagher as reporter, and Marcy Wheeler as a consultant.

Wheeler is a freelance journalist who's written for The Guardian and Salon, among others, and wrote Anatomy of Deceit, which investigated the outing of Valerie Plame. 

"Working with the brilliant @emptywheel - on NSA documents no less - is basically a dream," Greenwald revealed via tweet.

"Woohoo! This will be fun!" Wheeler responded.

Meanwhile, Maass joins as an experienced journalist who has covered war, media and national security for the New York Times MagazineThe Washington Post and The New Yorker.

"Delighted to announce I've joined First Look Media, working w/ @ggreenwald@jeremyscahill, Laura Poitras etc," he tweeted.

"Interesting hires at First Look, firstlook.org/#/blog my favorite being Peter Maass @maassp," Rolling Stone's Tim Dickinson admitted.

Finally, Gallagher is a Scottish journalist with a background in covering technology who has had bylines in SlateThe Guardian, the Sydney Morning Herald, and the Financial Times
