The bottom line is, we're still mourning Philip Seymour Hoffman. And Michael Wilson's engrossing NYT account of the actor's last days isn't helping the matter. "The unbearably sad last days of PSH," Guardian's Heidi Moore billed it, adding this detail: "At D’Agostino ATM for an hour withdrawing $1200 in $200 increments."
Also at the Times, Matt Apuzzo shares this... "A magazine publisher who didn't immediately recognize him asked what he did. Hoffman replied, 'I’m a heroin addict.'” Finally, a tweet from WSJ's Lauren Schuker Blum placed it all in the saddest, shortest context possible: “'just got out of dinner. Where r u?' There was no reply to the last text Philip Seymour Hoffman received."
