Question of the Day

Friday's Question of the Day asked …  The breaking news of John Lennon's murder on Dec. 8, 1980, was made on television by this unlikely reporter. Who was he, and what was his job? That would be Howard Cosell, who was acting as sports commentator on Monday Night Football when he had to make the announcement, a YouTube clip of which you can see here.

We were looking for both answers, so congratulations to the wonderful Jeanne Kirk for being the first to answer with both Cosell's name and his position! Congratulations, also, to the esteemed Ron Harris at The Associated Press for being the very first to tweet in Cosell's name. Honorable mentions also go out to Rachel Roh@.l.interpretationsDavid Beard at the Washington PostCraig Pittman at the Tampa Bay Times (who also went the extra mile to tweet us the YouTube clip), Alva Lewis, Paul DelColleCindi Lash at Pittsburgh MagazineKPMG's Ron CasalottiBill Chuck at the Chicago Sun-Times and the Boston Globe, and George McGrath, for all of their correct answers!

Today's question: The very first cover of this publication featured Mia Farrow in 1974, and it's become a staple in celebrity reporting since that moment. Which publication is it?
