Sad news is sad

Feb 12, 2014

For some truly unfortunate news, there’s a report from Mark Boxley in the Courier-Journal that a Massive 40-foot sinkhole swallowed eight cars at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green this morning. Creig Ewing there figured, “Satan is adding to his Corvette collection.”

From New York City, DNA Info has the awful story of a Person Dead After City Bus and Truck Crash in Greenwich Village. From their article: “The bus and the truck slammed into one another about 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Seventh Avenue and 14th Street.” We can report first-hand that the area through Eighth Avenue was still closed as of 10:00 a.m.

And for one more leg in this unfortunate-news tripod, we are very sad to report that Tom Brokaw Diagnosed with Cancer, Prognosis Encouraging. Lou Dubois at NBC News tweeted: “An idol as a kid and now a colleague. Praying for @TomBrokaw today. Get well soon.”
