Atlantic promotes three

The Atlantic just promoted three from within: Eleanor Barkhorn and Rebecca Rosen are now both named senior editors, while Chris Heller is now senior associate editor.

Now a senior editor and editor of the website’s business channel, Rosen spent the past three years as a tech writer and producer.

"So … bittersweet news for me: In the next month, I'll be leaving @TheAtlanticTECH and taking the helm over at our Business channel," she shared on Twitter.

Previously the senior associate editor for the magazine since April 2012, Barkhorn (right) joined the Washington, D.C. based publication as an associate editor in June 2009. Meanwhile, newly promoted Heller (left, a.k.a., Cookie Monster?) was most recently an associate editor.

"Congrats to @TheAtlantic newly named senior editors @eleanorbarkhorn and @beccarosen, and to senior assoc editor @c_heller. Stars!" editor Bob Cohn summarized.
