Star Tribune names DC chief

The Star Tribune in Minnesota welcomes Allison Sherry as the publication's Washington, D.C. bureau chief. Currently the D.C. correspondent for The Denver Post, Sherry first joined the Post in 2001 as a higher education reporter based out of Colorado before moving to the nation's capital.

"Excited to join the very talented staff at the Minn @StarTribune next month. Nothing but love for @denverpost but excited for next chapter," Sherry tweeted.

"Congrats to @allisonsherry on joining the @StarTribune DC bureau! Minnesota is lucky to have you joining!" declared Jeremy Herb at The Hill
