Featured journalist: Lana Fox

Feb 28, 2014

Let's end the week on an especially high note by featuring Lana Fox, a freelancer in the Metro Boston area whose areas include LGBTQ politics, sexuality, New Age spirituality, and sexual politics, among other subjects. Her byline has been published in MyYogaOnline, Good Vibrations, Spirituality & Health, Boston Magazine (online), Glo Magazine and elsewhere.

Her first gig, however, involved penning a monthly sexual politics column called "The Hot Topic" at the Nervous Breakdown, where she "really enjoyed the sex-positive community." Being a journalist means "[t]elling your truth," Fox writes, and aspiring journalists should strive to "[b]e ardent. Write about what matters to you. Change lives, if you can. Don't confuse money with worth." Don't miss examples of Fox's ardent coverage in her portfolio, which includes political minded pieces such as "Why Bachmann Can't Just Pray The Gay Away" as well as explorations into topics such as healing from sexual abuse.

Remember: If you also want to be featured here, you should 1) set up your own journalist portfolio 2) get verified and 3) let us know by emailing Kirsten.
