Today Show adds Tamron Hall

After some months serving as a fill-in anchor, Tamron Hall just officially joined NBC's Today Show as a full-time host assigned to the third hour of the show. Hall is also the first woman of color to take on that role at the program.

"Yikes my big announcement in 2 mins @TODAYshow," Hall teased the news in advance of its revelation. "No not a ring on it lol."

"What a woman!" reflected Courtney Gilmore at KPRC Local 2 Houston.

"Oh my another welcome piece airs 9:30 on @TODAYshow," Hall also shared on Twitter this week. "I am getting spoiled. Meet my family and friends."

She will also be a busy woman, too -- Hall will also reportedly continue in her current role with NewsNation at MSNBC, where she first joined in 2007.
