Featured journalist: Heather Nolan

Mar 03, 2014

We'd like to start the week off by featuring Heather Nolan, a reporter with the New Orleans Times-Picayune.  Nolan covers crime and courts in St. Tammany Parish for NOLA.com and The Times-Picayune. She's won numerous awards (all of which you can browse here), including accolades from the Press Club of Southeast Texas and the Associated Press Sports Editors.

Previously with The Beaumont Enterprise in Texas, Nolan has also covered business, features, county government and health. One glance at her portfolio will tell you that Nolan is an experienced reporter on the sobering topic of capital punishment, as evidenced by recent headlines such as "Jasper prepares for execution of man convicted in dragging death" and "The number of SE Texas prisoners on Death Row could increase dramatically."

Remember: If you also want to be featured here, you should 1) set up your own journalist portfolio 2) get verified and 3) let us know by emailing Kirsten.
